The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The hotel needs some updates, that's why I gave it a 4 stars instead of a 5 stars review.

We stayed at the Hotel Catalina/Courtyard Garden Suites (these are two buildings owned by the same hotel) for two nights in January on our honeymoon and left with a very bad case of bed bugs. When we left the hotel, I had some bites over my arms and chest (I hadn't had bed bugs before, so I was unaware of the symptoms). The next day, the bites had grown and spread over much of my upper body. We followed procedures for getting rid of bed bugs and had to have almost all of our clothing dry cleaned since we were still out of town. I called the hotel and they informed me that they had just had the rooms fumigated and were surprised to hear there were still bed bugs there. They refunded the money for the hotel room, but would not pay the difference to cover the dry cleaning costs. I did not request a refund, I was simply letting them know and hoping for some help on the dry cleaning bill I had to pay. They asked for my receipts which I provided and was told they were sent to management for review. I have reached out various times since then (we left the hotel exactly three months to the day), but they have not responded to my emails or phone calls. This hotel has attractive prices and nice staff while you are staying there, but they seemingly will not stand behind the quality of service they provide or correct a bad situation. Bed bugs can easily infect just about anywhere, but the hotel did not make things right and seems to have had this issue in the past.

This place smelled like fabuloso. Poor water pressure. A group of older folks hogged the hot tub every night. I was not a fan. It was away from all of the riff raff and more quiet so that's the only plus that I could really mention. I also like the outdoor patio but I would not stay here again.

Great location, and very friendly staff. I stayed at the courtyard which is a little further down the road from the main hotel. The staff were very courteous and escorted me to other branch and found the manager to check me in. The bathroom and updates to my king room were really well done. Would recommend this location to friends and family.

It was a nice visit. Room was a good size and 2 partial ocean views on 2nd floor. Small bathroom, but that is expected on Catalina. Nice patio with jacuzzi in ground. Bbq too. Lockers for gear before check in and after check out. Paul runs around making sure everyone is happy. He works the harder than anyone there.

Beware! 3 floors, no elevator and no one offered to help with our bags. We had very little cold water from the only sink (see pics) and it was clogged barely draining. There was no way to open the drain because the pully had been removed. The bathroom was so small that you had to put your feet on the edge of the shower to use the toilet. The shower itself is a 2x2 and the tiles are broken and black with mold in the corners. !! This room has a king size bed with 3 windows but only one had a screen. There is no coffee maker but there is a small fridge and a large screen TV. THE website said air conditioning available but there is not. We kept all the Windows open but since they are all on the same side of the building there is no air flow. They have coffee, juice and donuts from 8 am -10 am which really doesn't work for me or my family I need coffee before 8 am. There is a Jacuzzi and small court yard and the literature stated they like everyone to be polite and keep the noise to a minimum yet at 12:30 am til almost 3 am there were guest yelling and fighting and none of the staff did anything about the situation. You can enjoy the historical features of this old place but that's about it. I'm going to also submit feedback on trip advisor with pics and video. Thank you for reading.
