It is a nice hotel and definitely one of the better Holiday Inns but not worth the price during seasonal peak periods. They are going to get their rates due to limited hotel options on the island but if you are going during the summer travel season, spend a few more dollars for vacation condo rental if you can find any. This place is probably a good option during the offseason when but I would still compare with prices of vacation rentals. Best bet is to just do day trips and avoid the terribly overpriced lodging rates everywhere on this island. I don't mind spending for lodging but paying a lot for very little in space and service is what you get on this island.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The shuttle drivers were awesome. Although, the place was just not clean. The hot tub was dirty. The room was not clean, there was hair all over, the huge gap on the bed frame was gross and the room was full of ants. The front lobby floor was filthy when we checked out at 7am. This place needs a major upgrade for 300 a night.

It was expensive, but being in Catalina that's what you gotta expect. The rooms are tiny but nice that it has a balcony. The pool was nice size and you can swim in it year round, loved the hot tub. The restaurant on property we had breakfast at was nice especially sitting outside. We couldn't get ahold of the spa, so didmt get to check that out. The shuttle guys were super nice except Andrew. He was very rude, couldn't get an answer out of him with attitude, did I say her was rude. The checkout girl was nice and helpful. Overall it was cute property.

Stayed here on business and it was a very nice hotel. Had a great room that was very clean. Had a nice snack shop if you needed food during your stay. Staff was very nice and the shuttle was great getting to town and back. Hillside just outside the hotel had a great view of the entire harbor.

Off the main strip. The rooms are nice, but there is no room service and the shuttle stops at 9:30pm so plan ahead for late night food. Otherwise the service is great and the people are very friendly.

If you come to Catalina and want a great and relaxing experience, then this is your spot. Its not a far walk to the shops but yet nestled up the hill with great senic views and rooms are nice and comfy, staff was very polite and curtious. Very convenient shuttle to and from town all day no cost it runs every 15 minutes. Loved the experience here.. And the Bistro was very impressive there, full menu, from waffles to King Crab just steps from your room...

Don't get the IHG discount unless you like scam callers. Now that that is covered the hotel was super cool. Really nice rooms and views of the bay. Nice walk to the beach and we saw deer on both walks. But again Holiday Inn figure out what you are scam caller or hotel chance I can't take you as a serious company if your going to run these bad end deals. Grow up and run a solid product

The staff has been great. We arrived early and the front desk did what they could to get us in our room ASAP. The walls are thin and can hear everything going on in a 20 foot radius. Free shuttle to and from the Catalina Express, as well as down town. We opted to walk it as it was maybe a half mile and quite peaceful. Would stay again.

Rooms were noisy. I could hear the kid next door banging the walls and doors. Restaurant was overpriced and not worth it quality wise. Kids ready free, but it was still expensive. Also service at the restaurant was not that great. It's a bit far from town. There are shuttles, but they get full fast. Male housekeeper came into our room without knocking. Totally unacceptable. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and they didn't seem to care. Probably will stay elsewhere next time I visit.

Decent hotel. Floors were a bit sticky in the room. We could here the kid slamming doors from about 7-10pm. The restaurant left a lot to be desired. Husband got the fried chicken, which was soggy. I had the Mac n cheese which was drowned in low quality cheese. I ate maybe 5 bites and couldn't stomach anymore. Waitress didn't even ask if everything was ok when I left the full plate. Be warned, each refill of coke cost the price of the first one and they didn't mention that when they offered a "refill". To sum it up, hotel ok, restaurant not so much.

Ophelia was extremely accommodating--- My husband and I were celebrating 20yrs of love so I had a couple request. Minor issues @check-in but Ophelia (hotel manager took care of the situation without hesitation) I didn't have to go to the front desk- she actually came to our room to address our issues and was very professional and her hospitality was second to none!!!! Big thumbs up to Ophelia @ Holiday Inn Express ♡♡♡♡♡♡ Truly appreciate all your help and addressing our concerns in timely manner!!! I'll be recommending Holiday Inn to all my family and friends. Hopefully we see you in August to celebrate my husband's birthday. Sincerely Yvette Lozano A Very Pleased Customer

The hotel is really nice and the rooms are great. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. We found pretty cool is that the hotel is next to the Catalina Cemetery where a lot of Catalina's early pioneers and historical people are buried. You won't be disappointed with the hotel, staff or surroundings.

Sadly, this resort hotel does not keep up with maintenance. Our room (room 415) at $250/night was worn down. Perhaps worth $150/night because the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Rooms smelled of mold and were dirty. Bed frames are to large for the mattress which then was just a catch all for dirt and hair. Also, the fabric was stained. Mildew on the tiles in the shower. Simple chain lock (that was not securely attached) on the door facing courtyard. Bedding was absolutely disgusting and had to have them come and change. Just very outdated and run down. Worst Holiday Inn I've stayed in EVER!!

Just spent two nights here with my 8 year old grandson... we had a fabulous time. The room was perfect.... Restaurant was de-lish... My grandson loved the heated pool when we weren't at the beach...free shuttle was great to have...all in all we pretty much had a perfect stay... Can't wait to go back. 😎

Front desk service was not friendly and inviting. For example, the fitness center has signs like complimentary headphones and when asked about them the front desk gave me an attitude and stated "we never offered that". Location is a 15 minute walk from the beach, but they do offer a shuttle every 30 minute and the drivers are friendly and even go out of the 10:45pm last pick up when there are still guest waiting to be shuttled back. Rooms are nice. Only thing that bothered me was the front desk - they also have a 4pm check in, but they will choose and pick which guest they will let in before 4pm. Other guest were able to check in at 1245pm and they had told my family 4pm. I brought it up to the front desk and they said that our room was not ready even though we checked in at 9am.
