More about hotel amenities
The 40-acre property also encompasses portions of various recreational pathways, including the Rio Grande Trail.
The ski resort of Aspen comprises four mountains overseen by the Aspen Skiing Company: Aspen Mountain, more commonly known as Ajax, at whose base the town is nestled; Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk, both three miles from downtown; and Snowmass, located 10 miles south of Aspen in family-friendly Snowmass Village.
Ajax features 76 trails ranging from more difficult to expert. It's accessible by eight lifts, including the Silver Queen Gondola, which makes the trip between the base and the summit in 14 minutes. Both Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk, which is home to Aspen's ski school, offer trails ranging from beginner to expert. Snowmass, with the highest summit and largest ski terrain of the four, has trails accommodating all levels of skiers and has 21 lifts; seven of these are high-speed quad chairs. Other nearby winter activities include ice skating, snowshoeing, and snowboarding.
In summer, recreational activities include whitewater rafting, fly fishing, horseback riding, jeep tours, mountain biking, and golf.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.
