Went there yesterday thinking about getting a job. So I went with a friend that works there to show me around and meet other co-workers. When meeting co-workers I told them I was interested into applying there they quickly said back, "Don't Work Here. Are manager is a B*TCH!" At 1st I took that with a grain of salt but then I just kept hearing the same thing over and over. Next I went to the pool and at 1st it felt relaxing until I realized there was bugs swimming with me, so not the best swim. After that i went to the water slides thinking the experience would be better... I was wrong. The 1st slide went a little too fast and cut up my elbows, and the 2nd slide I went down and got stuck because of no oil added to the slide. So I ended up pushing myself down the slide getting a wedgie and looking like a fool to the lifeguards. Finally the workers, the couple hours I was there they seemed nice but really they did not wanna be working at O'Connell's Yogi Bear Park. You could tell how they talked and how they acted towards there job they did not wanna be there. So in all me being at Yogis for just those couple of hours I would not come back not even for a Job interview. But if you don't believe my review you can read the other 28 experiences other poor campers had there. Thanks for Reading

This place used to be so much better when it was run by the O’Connells. For crust pizza took an hour and a half to get one. You get to the pool at 10 o’clock when it’s supposed to open in every single chair already has a towel on it and it’s all one family. If you don’t open at 10 you should give everybody a chance to get a shade Chair or any kind of chair. We go to the snack bar it opens at 9 o’clock we walk in there and they tell us that they’re not open yet as four people are standing around talking. All Yogi staff. I used to tell everybody how wonderful it was here I would never come back again the pools were disgusting not clean. You think paying $80 a night it would be nice and clean friendly and a wonderful place but it is not. I hope you take my advice because I’ve been camping for over 25 years. I have never been so disappointed.

Very fun each year we go, by we I mean my family, we have lots of fun at the pools, the snack bar and at the campsite outback with a nice bonfire hugging you with its heat emmiting from the smoke. All teared eye because of it but, it feels good. It feels good to not have phones, or technology with us for a whole weekend or maybe even 2 weeks or 3 or 4, it's just a splendid feeling one gets when they're eith their whole family at once surrounding a bonfire while chomping down on some chips or burgers or hot dogs. Just amazing.

I used to go here every year for the past 15 years, but the last 2 years I went there I was so dissapointed. The prices are far too high, and the facilities were in bad conditions even during peak season- 4th of July. The staff members were very rude and not well informed of safety procedures. For example, there was a large storm approaching and we asked where we would go for a tornado (hypothetically speaking) and he shrugged his shoulders and left. No more caring about customer SAFETY?! Finally, a family friend forgot something small up there and they found it, to which they were very grateful; However, they were nasty on the phone and refused to ship it back even at their expense. We live near Chicago, so it's a hike to get out out to Amboy. I have lost ALL respect for this campground, barely deserves 1 star, but they can't be rated any lower. It's VERY sad to say, but I will not be going back ever again. The place that once brought me so much joy (second to Christmas) when I was younger is now somewhere I refuse to return to.

Fun, family place. This place will definitely keep the kids busy. There are a lot of activities and on your down time you can enjoy a dip in one of their pools.

Had not been there for 5 years, it used to be way, WAY better! When we arrived I had to go to the men's room and on top of the urinal there was a dark yellow stain and 2 somewhat unique (curled) hairs. Right before leaving after checking out I thought it was a good idea to hit the men's room (It is a 2-3 hr ride back depending on traffic) AND GUESS WHAT? What looked exactly same stain and the 2 hairs were STILL there; 4 DAYS LATER! It is definitely what looks like a rundown camping ground, VERY little improvement to the grounds and incompetent staff (both on the front desk and on the sites) My kids are grown up and do not have any grandkids as of now, I will not take them to this place when they come! BTW, They do have worked on their fees, we paid for tent camping (first time ever AND LAST, I hope!) the same we used to pay for a 32 feet motorhome with full hookups 5 years ago!

Polite staff. Clean cabins, grounds, and bathroom/shower rooms. Permanent campers were super friendly to visiting campers. Easy to relax and do nothing or be involved in all of the activities.

Very nice campground offering many camping options. My family and I have been visiting this site for many years and always enjoy the many activities that are available. Check out the camps website as many special events are held throughout the summer months such as live music and other activities.
