Before I arrived on the day of my reservation I received a call from the desk asking me what time I was going to be checking in which I thought was very odd because no hotel I’ve ever stayed at has ever called to ask me what time I was checking in. When I arrived I walked in it was a little desolate not a lot of people around the girl at the front desk was very nice very accommodating to me she gave me the room Key and I was thinking myself it’s very hot here it felt like there was no A/C in the lobby, so before we even took out a luggage we went up and checked the room we walked in it was a disaster the paintings of the wall was bright orange I wouldn’t even be able to sleep in there even if I had an eye mask that is how bright it was. The room and hallway smelled like mildew the bathtub was Constantly running I tried to stop it but it was broke then when I check the beds out there was black grease or something on the spread itself it was just a mess so when I went back downstairs and told the girl I would not be saying I’d like a refund she asked me if I wanted to go see the newly renovated rooms but by that point I didn’t want to waste her time or mine so I had called the comfort suites down the block from them and I was able to get a room. For anyone who is thinking of staying at Howard Johnson’s you get what you pay for so yes it was a good price but it was terrible hotel.

Worst experience ever with a hotel ,check inn is at 3 did mine at 2:50 still an hour later sitting with my kids in the lobby no room. They have choices of there customers who they can allow to take breakfast up to there room and who can't. Will I stay here again no thankyou. From the employees only two were nice a Spanish blonde lady and a young Hindu .

Good value for the price. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit disappointing so we skipped it but the pool and hot tub was a nice bonus.

At first walk in, the light switches didn't work so I had to manually turn on a lamp... the room had a very unclean and old moldy smell. When looking around I first noticed the chipping paint on the ceiling and wall. After checking the sheets I noticed multiple hairs and stains that forced me to bring in my own bedding and sleep on top of it. I could easily hear people from other rooms across the hall all night and to top everything off, the used towel on the back of the bathroom door added to this room to be the worst night stay I've ever had at a hotel. If I could give negative stars, I'd easily give this garbage place negative 10 stars. People in the lobby had worse problems with their sheets as I was walking in, and the water here is disgusting. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Customer service 5 star, room cleanliness 5 star. Noise level 2 star. It might have been my room location. First room off the lobby check in area. Doors slamming all night kept waking me up and that is with using a sleep mate white noise machine. The noise level is/was my only complaint. Front desk hostess Judy was over the top helpful. Will stay again when in the area, BUT will request a room away from the lobby

Night manager Judy was awesome and knows how to handle guest service! She is the ONLY reason I gave any stars. No one else at the hotel seems to actually want guests to stay there, they are more interested in policing the kids in the hotel and making sure anyone who has a dog paid..thats pretty much it. I felt like more of a prisoner who was always being watched than a guest at a hotel that I paid for. Needed to stay somewhere for an unknown period due to issue in my house..packed up my family and relocated to a different hotel where we will actually be welcome. Lost business for you Hojo!

If I was just going on the friendliness of the staff. It would be a five star. The room was definitely in need of repair. It wasn't a terrible stay but not what I'm used to from what I thought was a higher quality hotel.

The only good thing about this place is the proximity to Dorney Park. The walls are thin, the ceiling is even thinner. The guests were at the pool having a party which was right across from our "suite". Shower was Luke warm. The carpet smells. Curtains don't close completely. Sofa bed was horrible. Had to ask them to change the bedding. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express 2 months ago and would've stayed again but they were sold out. I don't recommend this place at all.

Not worth the price. Do Not stay here! We got very late near midnight, we were exhausted with 2 little kids. The room Smelled. Tub was Not Clean, & there was Mold on bathroom tile grout behind the door. The sofa was pulled away from the wall, which Need vacuumed Badly. I woke up at 4:30am- itchy arms & legs- seriously doubting that the sheets had been changed before we arrived. Where are your health board standards? If you have a hotel- at least make sure it is clean! Terrible!
