The place was great, location was perfect. We were able to see Washington DC in the morning and explore Alexandria in the evening. We used metro rail for almost everything.

Great location once you learn where it is...can park and leave it. Metro station right across the street. Old Town is right out the front door.

Nice location- close to public transportation and Old Town Alexandria. Also close to the train tracks, but I didn't notice any trains at night. The room was clean and comfortable, although the sheets for the pullout bed were noticeable rougher/stiffer than those for the bed in the main bedroom.

Enjoyed the relaxed feeling of a smaller resort. Daphne, one if the concierges was incredbly helpful. Access to the metro and the free King St bus made whole trip more enjoyable

The suite was great but the hotel lobby had absolutely no heat. Also the service checking into the hotel was deplorable. Check in time was at 4 and we arrived at 5:30. The front desk guy who gave us our keys stated that the room was not cleaned yet. So we waited.... an hour and a half later I went to inquire about the room and once more but with a different lady. She called house cleaning and they told her that the room was ready. I asked when they would've informed us and stated that we were already given our keys. She was confused and the guy came up and stated that he told us the room was ready when he first gave us the keys. He lied straight to our face in addition to making us wait 1.5 hours .... That was not pleasant. Also all the amenities were closed due to water damage or lack of heating.... in addition they have activities twice a day or so but they always ended early which was inconvenient. The only saving grace was the suite itself. Very comfortable bed and very clean.

Great location. Very convenient walk to the metro and great shopping and dining! There was what we were told was water damage to the property when we checked in. We were not aware of this when we booked. There were parts of walls etc that looked like they were under construction downstairs. The exercise room was unavailable for the duration of our stay. There was what looked like a large water spot on the ceiling of our dining room and what looked like mold in our shower area and a significant amount of what looked like other people's hair scattered throughout the bathroom. We would have liked to see more attention to housekeeping at this property. Front desk staff was nice. The amenities like tea, coffee etc. were nice on a cold day.

Very nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Our room is huge and it is only one of the single bedroom units. Very nice kitchen, large dining and living areas, good size & sectioned bathroom with whirlpool tub, large bedroom with a big bed and a sitting area, and two TVs. Three stars because of their WiFi. I’m a student and I need to get some work done while I’m here for thanksgiving but it is quite difficult with the slow speeds and constant timeouts. I’m hoping they get this fixed. Good WiFi is expected, especially in a place as nice as this.

Wonderful place to base your trip to DC from. Old Town Alexandria is great for shopping and food and art. Trolley runs up and down King St to cut down on walking. Metro line is across the street which causes noise but we travel with a white noise machine. That solves that issue.

Great staff. Located right next to so much just down King Street. And DC is but a metro hop away which is conveniently right across the street. You will hear the trains occasionally but this is not a resort, it's a place to crash after exploring all day. Would definitely go again.
