Very clean and spacious rooms. Great view of the Potomac River and National Harbor. There's very little in the way of free park though. And what free parking there is, is on the street. The rooms are also very poorly soundproofed so you can hear a lot of noise from the street in the morning.

First the good; you can't beat the location in Old Towne Alexandria, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet above average. Unfortunately, there are more negatives to this location. Customer service was lacking, phone calls involved 10 minute wait times and check in took over 20 minutes. Parking is expensive ($24 overnight) and in short supply. The room besides the beds were sub par. The A/C was noisy and leaked all over the floor and the bathroom sink and shower drained very slowly. Stay here if location is your primary concern, otherwise you can do much better.

Loved our stay here. My wife and I had a mixup at the airport so they gave us this hotel for free. Regina, at the front desk, was so helpful in getting us our rooms and because it was our honeymoon she gave us some other extra goodies. The rooms were so comfy and the service was great!

I chose this place because it was next door to a place I had business with. It needs to be updated. Looks drab. The service was great. The people in the pub were fantastic. The people at the front desk were fantastic too. It just needs some modernization.

Poor

A struggling hotel clearly poorly managed. Check-in was ridiculously slow with an oblivious host providing training to a new hire. Hallways smelled of mold, service in the bar was slow with staff more concerned about talking amongst themselves than the customer (except for one bartender). Breakfast restaurant was a Fail with all empty tables stacked with dirty dishes, one poor server who seemed to care but was totally overwhelmed and indifferent management. Too many good hotels in the area to waste your money here. Room was adequate.

Location was convenient to Washington DC. Hotel was very nice with the necessary amenities. Fitness center was sufficient enough to get a good workout in and the staff was very hospitable. I would definitely recommend this hotel when looking for something close to DC without having to pay a DC rate.

Amazing experience!. Originally we had a one night room reservation and on our way to DC we called to add another one night. We thought that it was going to create some sort of confusion but the staff was very attentive to our needs and what we ask of. since the first night nothing by politeness and effective team work in the entire Hotel. The restaurant offered a few selected food variety but the quality was amazing. The beds were absolutely comfortable.. the pillows heaven. that bathroom clean as it could be. I will definitely recommend this Hotel and I will definitely come back.

There are few better places to stay "for the money" in Alexandria. We've stayed here a couple of times, always a nice, clean hotel room. Parking can be full at times, gate cards don't always work right. But the staff is helpful and accommodating when not overwhelmed. Recommended for a solid affordable hotel choice, not far from Old Town.

Great location, rooms provide for normal needs, but not high end. Enjoyable bar with great service. Front desk gives good information & one front desk employee gave me her personal umbrella to borrow for an afternoon.

Nice rooms. My view was great. Staff are friendly, beverage machines are $2.50. Breakfast was great Also. This hotel is located a few minutes away from MGM Casino which is convenient. Expect to pay a minimum of $24 for parking. $25 for valet.

Just because it's fancier doesn't mean it's better. First off, inconvenient parking. If your driving something bigger than a car then you are on the street. The rooms aren't any better than a holiday inn but a holiday inn gives free breakfast. Worst night sleep. I was awoken at 11pm by the heat/ac unit popping and snapping. At 2am and 3am the patrons decided they should be loud. The restaurant is ok but expensive. I had a burger that was no better than Wendy's.

Kind of remote for such a nice hotel. Needs closer food and shopping services. Did not like you had to pay for parking per day. No visitor friendly parking options. Breakfast buffet at hotel had under cooked food. Had to drive back into Maryland to find better food choices (approx. 3-4 min

Great location and decent rooms. You can tell they are a bit dated but it wasn't bad. Pretty close to King Street which was great.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable to include the front desk and the staff at the Chequers dining area. The rooms are comfortable and the pillows are a perfect compliment to their large comfy beds. The gym is small but has enough dumbells and cardio machines to satisfy your exercise needs. There are one-of-a-kind restaurants and a super market within walking distance. The breakfast buffet foods aren't your run-of-the-mill continental variety, but they have a great selection of healthy and hearty breakfast foods. I love this place!

Nice Hotel. Clean rooms. Food is good - the gastro pub also serves good food especially for a hotel. My only knock on the place is their parking. They have two gated (auto arm-lift gates) lots that require you to take a ticket to enter and it costs $20 per overnight parking day. There must be a better way folks.

Mediocre hotel on the lower end for crowne plaza and the area. Staff was blah, friendly enough but not overly helpful. Elevators stunk. Rooms were standard and met expectations. The price should be lower given the overall quality and are higher just because of the location which is good. I don't think I will be staying here again even if I have to pay a little more. If you are looking for a decent place on the lower end of price scale for this area this is not a terrible option but don't expect too much.

Really nice place to stay and relax for a few days. The views are amazing. The rooms are very big and can fit a lot of stuff and they are comfortable The environment of people was very nice, staff was friendly and the front desk was always asking and attentive if everything was fine. If you are also looking for a romantic place this is a really cool place.. .
