- A very quiet and relaxing hotel, with a very well-lit, spacious lobby. The views of Tokyo from the lobby area (and our room) are fantastic—both day and night. - Excellent service by Atsushi (and other staff) in the Restaurant. - Great front desk staff and service. - Very quick response by housekeeping when we requested needed items like towels, toilet paper, etc. - I only had one issue during our stay: The toilet was leaking at the base and throughout our stay. However, this was a minor inconvenience and not unusual/uncommon—things eventually break. :) During planning, I considered staying at the Park Hyatt and Andaz, and while I know those hotels are excellent, I'm happy we stayed here due to the Southern Tower's proximity to Shinjuku Station, great restaurants/cafe's, and shopping. Proximity to these amenities distinguishes this hotel from the others.

The facilities and staff at Hotel Century Southern Tower are wonderful. I stayed in a king city view room. Luxurious bed. Extremely clean. Complementary toiletries and Shiseido hair, face and body items. Housekeeping prompt and fastidious. Front desk staff polite and helpful for check-in/out and concierge services. Good English. Hotel bar service impeccable. Elevators responsive and quick. Outside, hotel plaza contains multiple delicious food spots, some retail. Large malls surround and Shinjuku train stop with access to all major lines across the street. Very easy to get to other parts of the city quickly.

I have only stayed one night so far but the experience has been extremely pleasant. We weren't able to get a Mt Fuji view but the hotel staff was very polite and accommodating and we still got a great view of Shinjuku. Also the hotel uses shiseido products which are amazing! The hotel even comes with a free smart phone to use which was neat. Definitely recommend!

Located in a very convenient spot for both travel and life/shopping. A clean, well-organized hotel. We upgraded a little to a corner room and there are incredible views. Overall a solid choice for Shibuya.

We loved being close to everything. The hotel is modern and well appointed. The view was just superb. We could not have chosen better for our first visit to Japan.

Location is convenient, close to everything. Shopping and public transit close by. The free cellphone provided is very useful. Great staff, very helpful. Breakfast buffet is also very good; worth the price. Will stay again.

Century Southern is very convenient to access from Shinjuku Station. The rooms are generously sized and always clean. The views of the park are unrivalled and always a pleasant sight any time of the year. We had the chance to have breakfast at their newly renovated restaurant, it was very bright, spacious and modern. The buffet courses were satisfactory, however I wish there was a better selection of juices as well as an espresso maker by which guests can serve themselves.

We stayed here last year and had a great time. This time our stay was still great, but the quality of the breakfast offerings had substantially diminished. Whilst this could be attribute to the th renovation work, there should have been some advice to us at check-in that there wouldn’t be the full breakfast offerings. If this was the case, we would have changed our booking to exclude the breakfast package. We stayed 5 nights and only had breakfast once, that’s how poor it was.

Room and property was fine, but they nickle and dimed charges. For example, we checked out the last day before breakfast was available, but our prepayment for breakfast that day wasn't refunded when requested. The front desk said we had to tell them the night before if we weren't going to eat, which made no sense given it was a buffet. It was 4;45 AM, well before breakfast was beginning- 6. It changed my whole impression of the hotel and i would not go back.

We had a phenomenal easterly view from our room on the 24th floor. Large rooms. A superb view of mount Fuji at breakfast. Easily accessible from Shinjuku station.

Hotel Century Southern was in an excellent location of central Tokyo in Shinjuku. If you want to shop and eat a variety of foods, this is the best location. The rooms were clean and hotel maid did a great job every day. Airport limo dropped off and picked up in front of hotel which was super nice. Not luggage to lug around. You have to take two separate elevators (one to get to the lobby, then one to get to the rooms) which was kind of inconvenient, however the views were spectacular so high up as the lobby was on the 20th floor. Wished the front desk smiled more and was more friendly, but it may just be a cultural thing.

I read the reviews prior to booking with this hotel. I agree with most, if not all, the reviews that it has the best location. Situated beside the Shinjuku Station and Bus Terminal, it has been very convenient for my family to travel. Not to mention, shops, convenience stores and restaurants as well as malls are within walking distance. Price is a bit costly but I am happy with my stay. Staff receptionists are courteous. Service is excellent. Overall, I plan to stay here again should we be going back to Tokyo.

I was staying in the hotel for 5 days. At the last night, I ask the front desk whether there was the same type of room (scenic king room) available for extension of 3-day stay. The staff said only the smallest room was available. However, it was too small for me and my husband. I was doubting what the staff told me was true as it was weekdays at the time. So I quickly went back to my room and search at the hotel's website for any available room for the following 3 days. Surprisingly, I got at least 4 room types to choose from, and I booked the same room, scenic king room, straight away. I felt angry and wonder why the front desk told me all room sold out except the smallest room. I went to the reception again, showed the same staff my online reservation number and ask him to explain to me why I can book a room via the hotel's website but what he told me was a different story. At the beginning, the staff was still insisting that no room available for me except the smallest room. This made me even more angry and felt there was something wrong regarding the hotel's staff and training. After the staff asked other colleagues' help, they gave me a very strange answer with poor English "we are reception and what we can see from the computer system was no room available for you except the smallest room type. Also, our hotel's reservation center was closed now. Customers who book online often can cause double booking but our front desk' computer system is different from the reservation system....so we can't do anything but offer you the smallest room." It is odd to come across a reception staff who is unable to book the room for the customers but the customers have to book the room via the hotel's website. Well, perhaps this is a kind of "self-service" when you would like to stay in this 4-star hotel with the rate similar to 5-star hotel! Also, the male staffs at reception were not friendly either when I asked them for extension. Think twice before you are going to book this hotel!
