Wonderful hotel. Staff spoke rather good English, even the waitresses and servers in the restaurant below. The room is very close to the ferry terminal, and also to the itsukushima shrine and torii. No more than five or ten minutes to ether location. Right on the water so the view is incredible. The hotel room was traditional Japanese style, with an open floor and they provided tea and a ptcher of cold water for when you arrived. While you have dinner, they lay out the futon for when is bedtime. Dinner and breakfast are provided, making the slightly high price completely worth it. The dinner was a multiple course Japanese meal, with sashimi, hot pot, and stew, among others. It was very delicious, I would recommend the hotel for the dinner alone. Breakfast is a buffet style meal, with mostly Japanese food like fish and soup. Not as good as the dinner, but still delicious. There isn't much to do on the island after the stores close, as there didn't seem to be a close convinence store or any other night time activities, but the hotel does provide some. There was a taiko exhibition that was breath taking, and the hotel also offers karaoke rooms that were a bit too expensive for our small party, but seemed a fair price for a larger one. There is also a large public bath with free tea, and they provide instructions on how to use it properly. I loved this hotel very much. I had a wonderful stay. A note for any foreigners who want to use the yukata they provide you: remember to put the left over the right when closing the kimono. Right over left is for corpses.
