Visited for food in the bar restaurant. Although it took approximately ten minutes to be acknowledged and presented with the menus. Our server was polite and professional and the food was great! I like how there's a selection of specials on the website.

Decent hotel with nice and tasteful breakfast menu. We stayed there over one night. Room was cosy however sound isolation isn't the best one and we could hear our neighbours. Otherwise decent hotel about 25 minutes walk from the town centre or 10 minutes by a cab.

Fantastic experience. Beautiful bar. Wonderful staff. Will return. The carvery lunch in Flannery's is absolutely amazing and well worth the price. Dinner is Flannery's was also amazing. I had the streak, which was cooked to perfection. The bar staff know how to serve Guinness. I am quite fussy when it comes to a good pint. However, the staff here has it perfected

Stayed here as a kid with my family and so glad to see it's still thriving. Such a wonderful hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and so tastefully decorated. I thought I'd take a step back in time but it's far from what I remember it. All being said, still a great friendly service, staff were pleasant at all times and the breakfast was really enjoyable. Will stay longer next time.

Excellent staff. Very good food, in fact no need to travel out. Range and quality of the dinner was great. Excellent steak sandwich, good steak, my wife had the salmon, again very good. My son had the extraordinary tasty Thai chicken curry, excellent dish. The bar is typically Irish, good drink, craic., music. Good quality for the price, went there with my family who are particular, but every one had a good time. 4 stars but really for food, excellent staff, fantastic breakfast, and clean rooms. It should be 5 stars for a 3 star hotel.

One star purely over the rude night porter that barged into our room and verbally abused my girlfriend and threatened to leave us out on the street! Had to spend the second night of our two night stay in the Connacht Hotel over this! Staff there were lovely.

This hotel is warm friendly not too far from the town bus stops are just a few minutes walk from the main entrance. Hotel needs a little TLC but don't let that fool you. Rooms are warm cosy and clean en suites are brilliant. Food is delicious. Staff are lovely.

Excellent hotel! There is a small rugby field behind the hotel, so you might be able to see an amateur, exhibition match in the afternoon. Quiet building, lovely amenities, and only a mile from downtown if you don’t mind the walk or taxi.

I saw a customer complain about the food and one staff member half laughing at him. Some staff had an attitude problem. Rooms were great. The place would be 5 stars if Everyone acted like one girl who was very polite behind the check in desk.

Booked two rooms. Disappointed with the dusty smell it has an appearance of fresh clean room but it's old and does appear to have had some makeover but as an asthma sufferer I took a reaction to the dusty carpet. They didn't go the whole way to renovate just opening the windows you can see the dirt. Bathrooms small but very well designed. When you put your key in the door you can see paint missing off the door. The room next door was cold and when we rang to ask them to put heating on they said we would have to wait as it is on a timer. The night staff were rude and unhelpful. For a total price of 318 for one night it was not worth the money and would be better off spending the price of taxi fares in and out of Galway to get a better room. I would never go back.
