I wouldn't not recommend this hotel. Customer service was not the best. Attitudes Every time you enter your room key did not work. Rooms are not 5 stars. I enjoyed phelix at the bar in the lobby. He is the only one who know how to make a drink. Everything close up early at 10:30. The food was very good. I will never stay here again and will not recommend it to nobody.

We are just heading home from a relaxing week at the Riu Palace Antillas in Aruba. The hotel and staff are absolutely wonderful. Here’s some things I wish I would’ve known and other tips on the resort: - don’t leave home without your towel clips, it’s windier here than anyone would believe and you need towel clips to hold your towel in place. - this time of year may be extra windy but we got pelted by sand on the beach every day. So after day two we stuck to the pool and enjoyed that much more. - the palm beach restaurant is amazing. We lined up outside of it by 6:15 two nights to enjoy their food. The beef fillet was perfect. It also has spectacular views of the sunset while you eat dinner. - the Italian restaurant is also very good. The crepe lasagna with mushrooms and truffle is to die for. Would definitely recommend. - have lounge pants and a long sleeve shirt for the room. It was freezing and no matter what we did the room temp didn’t seem to change. - we went through almost two full size bottles of sunscreen- spf 50 and it still wasn’t strong enough. Sun in insanely hot here. Overall it was a great experience and the staff should definitely be applauded here. They helped make the trip.

Lodgings/property: extremely clean. Everywhere I looked, no matter the time of day or night, someone was cleaning or maintaining the property. Everyone we came into contact with couldn't have been friendlier! Food/beverage: excellent! Drinks were strong and well made. Dinner buffet was just wonderful. Traveler tips: Room service was kind of lame, but that would have been our only "complaint", if we had to pick something. The cheesecake was... not great. Also, even though it's all inclusive, they'll charge if you ask for any additional alcohol to be sent up. They'll give you as many drinks as you can carry at the hotel bar though. Bring a large insulated cup, like a Yeti, with you. They'll refill it as many times as you want, helping to keep the disposable cups to a minimum. The beach is beautiful and it was sad to see plastic cups washing up on the beach or buried in the sand.

Just got back yesterday from Aruba and stayed here at the Riu. We loved it!! I didn’t want to leave. The food was delicious and plenty of it.. The staff & service was impeccable. We will definitely be back. Plenty of activities to do at the hotel for everyone. The hotel was 24/7 with cleaning the pool, grounds and beach. The view was breathtaking. Also, men only need to wear long pants and closed toed shoes at one restaurant at the hotel. It’s casual and relaxed. Tip the servers and bartenders because they work their butts off!! Masha Danki Riu!!!!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The staff were exceptional, and for an all-inclusive, the food was excellent. Our room was very nice, and the only thing I would say is the bathroom needed to have some repairs. But other than that, the room was great. Loved the mini bar and beverage-stocked refrigerator in the room, which was all included. The restaurant we liked the best was the Krystal. The first seating was at 6:30, as were the other 3, and you should get in line by 6:15, to get in. If it it is full, you get on the waiting list, and get a beeper to let you know when you can get in. We had excellent stay and plan on returning.

From the staff to the food to all of the service. We had an amazing honeymoon here.. We couldn't thank everyone enough. I just hope people remember, you should still tip on each meal and beverages at the bar even though it's all inclusive. Thank you for our stay Riu!

A nice resort, but certainly not 5*. The adults only side is not the nicest, as they took it over from a prior establishment. We did see the rooms in the main hotel after we got here and they were much nicer. Spend the extra $50 and stay there. Yes, there will be kids, but there is ample space, so it shouldn't be a problem. To be clear, it was the bathrooms that were really in rough shape. The room itself was decent. Other than the sub-par bathroom, the resort was great overall. Staff was pleasant and helpful, food was good, beach was one of the best we've been to (we've been to a number of resorts/countries in the Caribbean).

Very clean. While most of the staff can speak some English, there seems to be a language barrier (received wrong food through room service, wrong drink a few times, etc) but it’s all inclusive so not that big of a deal. The rooms are really nice and most have a good view. The only negative things I have to say is that the pillows were awful and housekeeping is EXTREMELY loud in the morning. Between them cleaning the room above you and moving furniture to when they are on your floor talking to each other from opposite ends of the hallway. It was really frustrating because they woke us up EVERY morning. We are 2 adults that barely get to sleep in due to work and we were looking forward to that chance but didn’t get it :( I probably wouldn’t stay here again for that reason though considering a peaceful, relaxing sleep was high on me and my husband’s priority list. The pool closes soon after dark which stinks because night swimming would be fun there! There is very limited seating at the restaurants and you have to get in line early. Also, make sure you grab a seat by the pool or beach early. If you’re lucky enough to find one after 10:30-11:00, it’ll be in the sun with no shade.

Place was clean. People & service were excellent. Food was very good. The only negative thing I could say is beginning of the beach. Once you walk of the path from the hotel the beach is rocky. Once you get close to the beautiful blue water the sand is excellent. Overall had a great time would go back.

Our stay at the Riu Antillis was excellent. Service was great throughout the entire property. We were able to upgrade our room upon arrival without being charged and were given a high floor with 2 Queen beds, renovated bathroom with a balcony and ocean view. Our package for a week was All Inclusive and food was just amazing . The Buffet's near the pool and upstairs had a huge variety of food to choose from -- fresh fish, seafood, chicken , pizza, pasta, fruits, salads , cooked veggies, cakes, and ice cream. There are also some theme based Restaurant's like, Italian, Asian and a Steak and Seafood place but in my opinion, the Buffet's are the best. The theme restaurants served smaller portions which was not to my taste. Two major pools and a swim up pool bar and a beautiful beach with plenty of lounge chairs and shade huts to choose from. Just try and reserve first thing in the morning to get the best spot. Over all, a fabulous resort. Highly recommend!
