Will be better once the rooms are redeveloped, currently no fridge in room. Breakfast also needs redevelopment. Great location near airport

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights, 3 rooms. Check-in was okay. I called in a day ahead to clarify everything but full disclosure was not given over the phone. The hotel is in the middle of re-branding as Holiday Inn Express. There was a lot of construction going on. It was noisy. The rooms were alright with 2 beds, they could have added more pillows though. Bathroom was small and dull, basic toiletries were provided. Housekeeping was a hit or miss. There were no towels on the first day, there were able to provide it the next day. You can't shower on full-power without flooding the whole bathroom. There was not a big variety of breakfast. Location is convenient coz it's near the airport and they have free shuttle. Overall, it was an okay stay. I'd recommend this ONLY for those who needs an overnight stay.

Useful enough hotel by the airport. Main complaint is it's freezing - the central Aircon cannot be disabled. As an overnight airport stop is perfectly fine and clean just basic

Great for it's proximity to the airport. Manila traffic is not fun to be in. That being said: The most impressive lobby I've seen for a Holiday Inn. Then you get to the cramped motel-sized room that feels as if it hasn't been cleaned and you realize, yes, it's still just a Holiday Inn. The hotel, which was previously Remington Hotel (still hasn't gone through a full re-branding within it) is clearly old -- you can smell the stench of cigarette smoke in the central air conditioning vents that has probably seeped in throughout the decades before smoking was banned. Pray and hope that there isn't a line when you check-in or out. Each guest takes at least 10 mins to process for some reason. Decent breakfast buffet, though.

Nice hotel and price.. perfect for layover flights. Newport City like a little island of nice with quick shuttle every hour to airport. I recommend.

Check-In time was horrible! It almost took 2 hours for them to get us a room! I don’t mind waiting if it’s just me and my wife but we have an enfant who’s been tired on 26 hours flight and would like to get some decent sleep. I find most of the staff rude specially the Manager Abegail. No apologies or any sympathy for the customer’s concern. The only reason that I am giving this hotel 2 star is because of the location. It has decent mediocre room and a very small bathroom. The lobby is nice and its close to the Newport mall. Over all we’re very disappointed with our stay! Stay from this hotel if you can and go through the review and see if I am lying!

Very basic rooms, had to change as our first room smelt of damp. The next room we were shown was so bad the staff member instantly closed the door and found yet another room. Third room was fine and smelt good. 2/3 rooms smelt bad.. That isn't good. It was acceptable for our overnight stay befoe flying the next morning but I wouldn't stay here again other than as a quick stopover.

I had a connecting flight with my boyfriend which had a 12 hour layover, so we decided to book this hotel for its location and free shuttle bus service. This was essential to us because we did not want to exchange our money to Philippine pesos because we were only staying the night. When we checked in everything went smoothly and the middle age gentlemen receptionist who checked us in was very polite and helpful. He answered every question we had and informed us about how to prepare for our connecting flight with their shuttle bus. He instructed us that we had to wait specifically for the shuttle bus to our terminal because there are many shuttle buses to different terminals in the airport. However, that was the only positive thing about the hotel. The room we stayed in had flickering lights in the bathroom and multiple bugs which did not bother us since we were only sleeping for 6 hours, but what happened the next morning was life changing and is worth sharing. Our flight was at 3 pm so we planned to leave at 12 with the shuttle bus that comes every hour. We went 30 minutes early to the designated area as told by both the middle age receptionist last night and the young lady receptionist morning of. We were to wait for someone to announce that the bus to our specific terminal would be here or hear any kind of bell or loudspeaker announcement — none of that happened. We asked around for when the bus would be coming, but the same response would come from the mouths of the employees “just wait over there, it will come.” Finally it was 12:10 and we were impatient of waiting and getting the same automated response from the staff, so we pressured the staff into checking where the shuttle bus is. They decided finally to act upon our request and look around for answers to only find out the shuttle bus had already left. We told the staff our situation and suddenly every grown up adult regresses into toddlers pointing fingers at each other. We spoke to 4 different staff and the ones who were responsible for informing us about the shuttle bus this morning lied to our face and told us that they already informed us. This is the most blatantly bold lie ever as 5 minutes ago when we went to tell them about our situation they would “look for someone to help us” and told us sorry and then returned back to only tell us they told us about the shuttle bus being here. Now my frustration turned into anger as I could not believe how they could easily lie to us infront of many witnesses. We told them that they put us into this mess and they had to take responsibility for it since we did not have Philippine pesos to pay for taxi and no time to wait for the next shuttle bus. The staff once again told us they will get us the deputy manager to help us, but end up just grabbing another employee to lie to us and that we should call a taxi. Finally after long explanations and pleading, they decide to call the supervisor. Unfortunately the supervisor was just as useless as the other lying employees since she said she could not do anything and told us and there was an announcement for the shuttle buses. Again, after a long debate she said she would call the deputy manager which was suppose to be done a while ago. After minutes of waiting the staff who supposedly told us face to face that our shuttle bus to the terminal was here would pay for our taxi fare to the airport. Great, despite being pushed by 40 minutes, we thought our problem would end. We boarded the taxi once the staff told the taxi driver about our situation and went straight to the airport, but to our surprise the Taxi driver told us that we had to pay for the highway fare because the staff said we would pay. We said multiple times we had no Philippine pesos and this was not what we had agreed on. So after another long debate In the car we made it to the airport. For the amount we were paying for the hotel, this was easily the worst deicision of my life and I made many. If you want to be lied to constantly and be responsibility for other people’s mistakes this is the hotel for you.

The Holiday Inn Express at Newport City had a nice ambience. My check-in was painless. My room was sizable with two queen size beds, though I only needed one. The bed was nicely firm and comfortable. The pillows were also very comfortable and a welcome change after 10 days of sleeping on pillows that felt like rocks. If I am being finickity, I would say that the long desk that ran along the side of the room, makes it difficult to move about. And the airconditioning control only works on and off. I couldn't adjust the temperature and it was set at 21 degrees. It would have been comfortable with the right duvet, but since the blanket was not quite thick enough, it was uncomfortably cold during the night. My booking included a free breakfast. And there were enough to choose from. But if you're used to the wide offerings of other hotels in the area, you'll find it limited. However, considering what I paid for my stay, it's value for money.

Lobby is nice. But the room isn't. So bare to look at. Only few pillows provided. Toiletries were not enough. Not much good for a 3 star hotel.

My guest waited 2 hrs until he was able to check-in. Check-in time was supposed to be 2pm. He was there before 2pm. He finally got his room key almost 430pm already. And he is a senior citizen, was not given priority.

I thought this hotel is upscale but when i saw the rooms, it is incomparable to maxims hotel. The rooms are simple and then the room that we checked in the telephone was not working that good because the hot water is not evenly distributed. The complimentary breakfast was quite ok. The staff are also friendly and i attend to the needs whenever you call them. I thought this hotel was designed for mid 2 average people who want to stay in resorts world.

It’s a good looking hotel right next to the casino. The room we got has 2 queen bed so plenty of space to sleep but no space to put stuff unless u put it on the bed itself. The rooms are nice but not soundproof at all so u hear ppl walking and talking all night especially its a casino so nobody really sleep. Get a room on the inside and not infront of the elevator if ur a light sleeper.

We booked this hotel because our flight was delayed and arrived at 2AM. Our room on the 8th floor reeked of cigarette smell. The linens had stains and looked grey-white. In the morning, we woke up to an annoying hammering noise. Turned out they're renovating the hotel. The only saving grace of this hotel is its security. They're very helpful and accommodating. One of them offered to call a taxi for me and when I told him that I was waiting for my Uber, he radioed his companion on their other entrance and asked if a car matching my Uber's plate number was there. It was, and he then asked his companion to direct it to their lobby entrance. Very service-oriented.

Well first of all try not to rent a cab bc there will always be a shuttle bus service for it. A-lot of construction work going on around the hotel. Clearly not a very welcoming place for smokers, u need to go to the Casino to smoke and it is not allowed to smoke even outside. The internet is very poor. A-lot of guns and shot guns u will see so be prepared

Conveniently close to airport with a new air bridge and close connection and free shuttle to the Resorts World area. Comfy room, small bathroom. I appreciated having being able to have a breakfast at 4am before departure to the airport.
